Who We Are

The Alameda County Workforce Development Board (ACWDB) is a dynamic 27-member employer-led body that oversees Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs and a variety of other programs in response to business and industry needs. The ACWDB ensures relevant career services for job seekers, including adults, dislocated workers, youth, and young adults. ACWDB also provides resources for employers to assist in identifying talent, as well as growing, training, and retaining their workforce.

ACWDB’s career services are delivered through community and education partners located throughout Alameda County. Job seekers learn about high-growth employment opportunities in Alameda County, acquire occupational skills through training, and find assistance with employment placement and supportive services.
